Kontextur constantly searches for contributors to submit essays, projects, opinions, comments, interviews, drawings, photography, (visual) research, books or any other content that seems right. 

Submission Guidelines

  • Submit your work via Email hello[at]kontextur.info
  • If files are big use Dropbox or Wetransfer
  • Text in Word format in English or German 
  • Photos | Drawings – single files (jpeg, at least 2000 pixels on the shortest side) please include following information: caption, source of the material, name of the photographer and the copyright holder
  • Video, share a link with us, that we can embed or send it in .MP4, .MPEG, .AVI or .MOV format
  • There is the possibility to publish a text | essay | comment anonymously, if necessary

We are free to publish content that you submit to us in whole or part on this website or on our social media channels.

Architecture creates the built reality for all of us. Quite a familiar sentence in the discourse about architecture. So, let’s talk about this reality!
What does reality mean to you the creators, the theorists and consumers of architecture?

For us reality is not only the materialized vision of a building. It is much more. The concept of reality is changing constantly.The very term reality is interpreted in so many ways not only positive or negative. It is depending on its context. 

So, we ask you …

  • What kind of reality do you want to create?
  • What kind of reality do you portray?
  • What is your daily reality struggle?
  • Or is our reality just a resemblance of societal clichés? Wearing black, being underpaid and being responsible and blamed for everything.
