I have always been seduced by the atmosphere of a place, whether it was the living room of my home flooded with Mediterranean light or the severe courtyard of my elementary school.
I did my architectural studies in Milan, at the Polytechnic, fascinated by Giorgio Grassi's lectures. Here I met new ways to see the space and time of architecture, through the lenses of typology and morphology.
How did you find your way into the field of Architecture and Photography?
Thinking about architecture means studying it. Living space, living it, perceiving it. Picture the place, draw it, photograph it.
In this way I entered the depths of architecture and photography.
It is a continuous, unique process.

For you personally, what is the essence of architecture?
The essence of this journey into space and the time of architecture is memory. The atmosphere that remains imprinted on you, inside you.

Danish Works
2018
For example, these three Danish works of 2018, the two landmarks of Johansen Skovsted, and the courtyard of Dorte Mandrup, are part of a long work trip in northern Europe.
I chose to go with a small Westfalia camper van, to give continuity to the experience. Without the typical flight interruption.
Fall asleep, wake up next to the architecture. Living in those places.
I found myself waiting for the rain rather than avoiding it.
Today, when I look at these reports, I find this main theme, this line that I traced on the map, this unique atmosphere.
