Please, introduce yourself…

I am a New York-based photographer.

How did you find your way into the field of Architecture and Photography?

I initially planned on studying architecture but was diverted towards fashion design. Fortuitously, I find the two subjects similar because they both have components of construction and calculation with a three-dimensional end result. I’m fascinated by the shared sculptural qualities though completely opposite spectrum with architecture being hard/rigid whereas fashion has movement and soft.

It was not long before I developed a thirst for photography and using a camera as my artistic medium versus sketching tools. My increasing interest derives from my curiosity for great architecture, especially through my travels. Each subject matter gives me a sense of connection with the architect’s intention and I’m deeply drawn to the geometric compositions architectural photography presents.

Who is your role model?

Louise Bougeois, for her unapologetic expression of honesty and emotions through her work. She was fierce to create even until the week before her death at the age of 98.
