«For me good architecture opens the heart and mind to possibilities.»
I’m a New Zealand architectural photographer based in the south of France.
I became particularly interested in architecture whilst studying photography in London. My final thesis looked at the way Mies van der Rohe used photography to represent his architecture. He was adept at photo manipulation.
It’s only in recent years that I’ve begun to take a strong interest in architectural photography and to develop my own style .
I photographed a series of modernist buildings in New Zealand in 2014.
The photos were made into a book “Down The Long Driveway, You’ll See it”.
The process gave me the confidence to approach architectural photography in my own way.
The ability to make you feel and think differently in a space.
For me good architecture opens the heart and mind to possibilities.
